Reviews and Ratings
The location of the hotel is superb, right by the shore, offering stunning sea views and serene surroundings. However, the rooms were a letdown with unrenovated features like a cracked tub, mineral caked shower head, and stained carpeting and curtains. A mix-up with the booking led to our premature departure.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel - the room was nice and cozy with a warm view, but it was uncomfortably hot and lacked water. The breakfast service stood out with excellent staff, especially receptionist Lorraine. The location was fabulous, right by the beach but a bit isolated. The dining left much to be desired with delays and subpar food. However, the view and outdoor area were delightful.
My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The location was superb with its serene beachfront view and excellent staff, but some aspects like the outdated rooms and limited dining options left something to be desired.
I had a bit of a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms had some issues like a bathroom door that didn't shut properly and a shower that didn't work right, but they did offer a view of the backyard/parking lot and the beach with the roaring sea. The hallway smelled like an old casino, though.
The hotel had a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, but certain elements like damaged fixtures were disappointing compared to the advertised pictures. The service was outstanding, particularly from Nicole in the dining room, despite some inefficiencies in management. The location was beautiful by the beach but somewhat remote from town. The dining experience had some drawbacks, such as delays and subpar quality for the price. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.
Our anticipated plush last night of our tour was a bit dated, needing some refurbishment and sheer curtains for privacy. Despite the minor drawbacks in the rooms, the service was very professional, even though I had to ring the doorbell for 20 minutes and was mistakenly informed my dinner wasn't included. The location, allowing access to downtown Dublin, was the only good thing, but being near Donabate beach was a plus. Dining at the Shoreline was very good value for money, offering an enjoyable meal experience. The hotel provided great staff and charming facilities, but it was impossible to sleep until the last door slammed.
